WELL, THE WEATHER LOOKS FRIGHTFUL

While watching the snow fall gently in our little hamlet known as Kingfisher, I decided it would be a good idea to provide some tips for any Sofies that might be inclined to visit Tulsa this Friday night where the weather is supposed to be downright frigid. Generally, bundle up and bring some whiskey and maybe a glove or two is all I recommend but I was reminded that not everyone has the same type of outlook as I.
So here are 12 tips that hopefully will help you be as comfortable as possible while cheering the Jackets on to victory.
Like your mother told you: wear a hat! Make sure it covers your ears.
Dress in layers to keep out the cold. Your favorite team’s jersey goes over the top.
Wear flannel-lined jeans – you’ll thank us later.
Bring stadium chairs to keep your seats warm and dry.
Wool socks, warm boots, and gloves or mittens are a must. As with doubling up on socks, try 2 layers on your hands for really cold days.
Don’t forget a thermos with hot chocolate, whiskey (if of age) or combination is also nice.
Walk to the concession stand – with any luck the area is heated, and the movement will do you good.
A blanket will warm up the legs.
Someone’s going to need Kleenex – bring some. (they won’t make you warmer, but at least more comfortable).
Protect your face with a scarf.
Hand and foot warmers will help some.
Cheer, jump and clap like crazy. Exercise warms up the body and, hopefully, it helps the Jackets.
