I was finally able to catch up with multi talented, Aaron Delatorre the other day and he was kind enough to give me a few minutes.

El Commish: Aaron, thanks for your time. You guys are having a great season so far. What sort of things did you do over the summer and have you set any goals for yourself or the team this year?

Aaron Delatorre: I worked out almost every day this summer. As far as goals go, we just have the goal to win State.

EC: You guys are definitely on the right track. How about pregame traditions. Do you have any traditions or superstitions? How about a favorite pre-game meal?

AD: No, I don't have any. I stay prepared and ready to go. My favorite pre-game meal is at The Shed, located at 1505 S Main in Kingfisher, great food, great friends, great times.

EC: What plans do you have after your time at KHS?

AD: I plan to go to OU and major in engineering.

EC: What is your favorite memory of playing at KHS?

AD: How we used to celebrate after every home game.

EC: You are a multi-sport star as you excel in soccer as well, what position do you play in soccer and which sport is more challenging for you?

AD: I play midfielder and I'd have to say football is more challenging because it takes more out of you.

EC: What saying from one of your coaches do you feel will stick with you long after your days at KHS?

AD: If it doesn't hurt or feel uncomfortable, you aren't bettering yourself.

EC: What sort of legacy do you think you will leave when it comes to KHS football?

AD: As being the best kicker in KHS history.

EC: What piece of advice would you give to grade school kids who want to follow in your footsteps and be a standout KHS football player?

AD: Always try your hardest and keep your grades up.

EC: How about your teammates, which one of them has the best hair and which one is most likely to end up as the main waffle maker at Waffle House?

AD: Blake (Hill) has the hair for sure and Noah (Friesen) will be at Waffle House. That kid...always something haha

EC: Always something is right. You like to ride four wheelers, which teammates would you want to go to Little Sahara with for a weekend trip?

AD: Braxton (Shellstrom), we are always riding four wheelers together.

EC: Awesome, Aaron I have just one more question for you. If you were to become a SofaKing athlete, do you feel you would be able to promote and endorse the brand as well as you have expressed yourself here and on the field?

AD: Yes, I'm sure I could.

EC: I figured that was the answer. I'll get the committee together and we will be in touch. Thanks so much for your time and good luck against Anadarko and then into the playoffs.

AD: Thank you very much.
