Only Two Outcomes To A Game

Good afternoon Sofies, as you probably recall from a previous post here there are only two possible outcomes in a game.

1. You win

2. You learn

Ain't no such thing as losing, at least not in my book and if you're a regular reader (which I'm sure you are), we are on the same page.

So you say to yourself, Porterhouse, why bring this up? Very simple young Sofies, let's just take a look at the schedule comparison between lincoln christian and your beloved Jackets.

The bull-doo doos are 10-1 and their only loss was to a team from Arkansas. If you look a little further into the statistics, which of course we do here at the SofaKing. You will see that rather than trying to do any learning, the bull-crappers went out and bought a couple new players. Bottom line is this, the private parties hire everything out and don't do any work for themselves. Food trucks instead of tailgating, hire a band instead of actually teaching kids how to play instruments, and on and on.

Now on the good side of the coin, your Jackets are 9-3. Not one of those losses were consecutive. Wanna know why?

You guessed it, they learned. They learned how NOT to lose. Sure, the naysayers will say but Port, they lost three times. Well Negative Namby Pamby, let me just say that the Jackets have more pride and honor than the smash nosed mascots from up north. Rather than just go buy something new, the Jackets work with what they have. That's what real people do. They identify their strengths and weaknesses, evaluate their inventory, and execute a plan.

There is a popular TikTok celebrity who has offered his words of encouragement to the Jackets recently using the catch phrase "Lock The Gate". Well, if you say lock the gate to someone from the hotbed of democratic voting/attitude in Tulsa, they will either look around for someone else to do it or start a committee to say how unfair it is to the person on the other side of the gate.

Tell a Jacket to lock the gate? You better be ready, because they will hear you say that phrase, turn around with a smile on their face, lock that damn gate and will come back ready to neuter that bulldog puppy.
