No Surprises Vs Chizzum

As expected the Jackets took care of business against the chizzum Longhorns winning by 50 points. Honestly, I had three disappointments after the game.
Didn't score 69 points
Chizzum scored
I didn't get to see #65 steamroll longhorns
All in all, things went as planned, Wrig and Jerry dominated on both sides of the ball. Barton and Karcher ran well and overall the Jackets played a tough, aggressive game. Again, no surprises. What last night did for this learned observer was whet my appetite to see this team at 100%. Especially going into district play. Chizzum was a good opponent to have without Jake and Noah, hopefully both can return soon and we can see the Jackets flex their muscles in district.
As always, Jerry and Wrig were strong candidates for DOG but Jaxon Paul earned those honors with two picks (one for a touchdown) and an overall strong performance on the defensive side of the ball.
The Dr. Squatch (hopeful sponsor of the SofaKing awesome sports blog) Cleanup Player of the Game was Blake Hill. Balackay came in when the game was out of reach but still punished Longhorn defenders with strong runs while eating up the clock.
The bye week couldn't have come at a better time. It enables the Jackets to get healed up, work on some little things and continue waking up winners until they travel to Perkins (town not restaurant) where hopefully they will get their first district win of the season and continue the win streak.
