Metro Christian Patriots:
As I watched film last night, I noticed over-hyped QB (#12) likes to move around and not sit in the pocket. Jerry & Jake will be able to contain him more than he’s used to. Then, while Wrigley & Noah take turns eating up the middle of their o-line, the LB’s should be able to get to him enough to frustrate him.
The less experienced DL will need to really pick up their game and provide consistent pressure that Kennedy and Friesen provide, without that pressure is when MC will score.
I alsofeel that Jax and company are capable of picking him 2-3 times, especially if he is rushed and frustrated. He has some solid, athletic WR’s that we can handle if we crowd them at the line and let the safeties cover over the top.
On defense, they are pretty fast so trying to run outside probably won’t be our best option. Rumor is that Big Wrig & Rempe are swapping, which would put big #70 back to playing tackle this week. (Hopefully they will find out that Rempe is a better guard, than tackle, also). If we pound the line inside the tackles and eat 3-5 yards per carry, we control the clock, keeping them off the field & and hopefully grinding out a low scoring victory.
Of course penalties can kill our drives in a hurry, so we’ll have to play clean and make sure the officials get well taken care of at their complimentary pre game meal at the Shed, located at 1505 S Main, Great food, Great Friends, Great times.
If all goes according to (my) plan, the Jackets will win the game on a 64 yard field goal by Aaron Delatorre and take back control of 3A-1, which would also ensure a road playoff game for Perkins, which makes this a win-win situation.
Kingfisher - 16
Metro - 14
DOG - Aaron - 3 FG’s & 37 tackles.
