GAME DAY

Game Day means a lot of different things to different people. For some it may mean that it's time to sit in front of the TV watching Lee Corso put on a mascot's head or seeing how a once valued and learned professional in Desmond Howard can embarrass himself again. For the true athletes and competitors though, game day means something completely different.

Game day means it's time to show off how hard you worked. It's time to show the opponent that whatever they think they did to prepare themselves wasn't enough. Hours spent in the weight room, practice field, film room shedding blood, sweat and tears are about to be paid off when you take that field in front of your home crowd. Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends are all excited to see what you can do and are ready to urge you on to victory. But there's more....
Game day is a time to relax . Sounds weird doesn't it? But its the time where you can reflect on what you have done to get to this point and trust in your preparation to go get the job done. Sure you will knock a few skulls around and make some eagles wish they were still at home in the safety of their nests, but you can do it in a relaxed state.
The pressure is gone. You've either gotten yourself ready or you haven't. Any sort of quick fix isn't going to work. Practice is the hard part, games are easy.
Relax, breathe, and kick ass.
