Feeding That Football Appetite

This week is a tough week for me. The high school Jackets have a bye week and for some unknown reason, Thursday Night Football is on Amazon Prime. Don't get me started on that garbage but if any SofaKing generous readers happen to want to share their login and password information so I can watch Amazon Prime, I'd definitely appreciate it. You can DM me on Twitter @KdawgNdaHouz. We can work out reciporatory details later.
Fortunately a loyal reader let me know that the Junior High was playing tonight and there was a kid on the team that probably needs to be the first SofaKing NIL signee.
He was not wrong.
Daxx Compton is worth the price of admission plus the gourmet meal you can purchase at the concession stand. The 7th grader (yeah, 7th grader) is a machine that can not and will not be brought to the ground when he has the ball in his hands. The kid has the ability to get himself out of the grasp of would-be tacklers and the speed to leave them in the dust.
On a two point conversion, the Jacket line allowed a Bethany lineman through who was waiting for Compton as he took the pitch from the quarterback. Compton shook off the tackler and found himself facing four Bethany defenders in hot pursuit.
Readers, they didn't stand a chance. Daxx turned on the jets and flew around the line and into the end zone for the two points. They literally looked as if they were standing still as Compton cruised past them.
Now it would be one thing to talk about just that play but No. 23 did it. All. Night. Long. He was responsible for all but one of the Jacket touchdowns. Just watch this run.
And that wasn't the most impressive run. I was walking into the stadium when he broke loose on what I assume was an 89 yard run.
Readers, keep an eye on this kid. I know I will be.
