A Few Stats From Mannford

Maybe you are like me and when you heard the name "Mannford" you immediately though of the Manfred Mann song, "Blinded By The Light", that features the line 'revved up like a deuce' but is always misinterpreted to 'wrapped up like a douche'. I don't think I'll be able to get through the game without humming or singing that song at least 69 times.
Wrapped up like a douche it pretty appropriate for the Pirates. Not much on social media out there with the exception of their No. 7. He likes to throw up some 1-2 minute Hudl highlights from his games and I guess he committed somewhere to tryout at next year. Other than that, it's crickets as far as information, which after looking more into their schedule I found that there is good reason.
In the Pirates five games so far this year, they have been outscored 157-110 and lost by an average of 19 points/game while amassing a 1-4 record. Their opponents have a combined 6-14 record.
No. 7 passes the eye test, 6'3 200 lbs, but that's where it ends. His highlights are from broken plays, he's not doing anything to overpower anyone in any of his clips. When he runs it looks like his shoes are made of concrete and he's running through waist-deep water. And he's the stud.
So, this Friday's game should be one where every team member should tell their family that they will get to play because this game will be over by the middle part of the first quarter. We should probably look into getting some stands set up for the Jackets to sit on during the game and the clock will just run for the entire second half. I'm going to predict that Mannford will score in this game just because there will be inexperienced and smaller players participating for the Jackets, but the Mannford scoring will be much too little, far too late.
