Hello readers, sports fans, knowledge seekers, happenstance visitors looking for a friendly wherabouts while browsing the internet and quite likely monitors from the CIA, NSA, FBI, and PeTA and welcome to the inaugural post of Bud's Pick O The Week. This blog will be chock full of cultural, newsy, advisory, helpful and more importantly entertaining recommendations by your favorite Uncle Bud.

A little background on Uncle Bud you ask? Well just pull up your virtual cushion on the davenport and let's begin-

Uncle Bud is a worldly man and has seen battles of many ilk from around the globe. He is a fire ant attack survivor from the Great Fire Ant Conflict of 1972. You may not have read about it in your "history books" as they like to call them but it was a deadly affair and we lost many good men to painful, swollen welts and magnifying glass burns. Bud has always been a hard worker, beginning his career as a shark wrangler protecting welders on underwater drilling rigs at the ripe age of 4. Through hard work and dedication he was moved to lead welder in just 6 months. He held that job until the call of the road was too great and at age 9, Bud began his career that would define not only himself but also provide the accumulated knowledge for your enjoyment. The career was becoming a cross country truck driver. Now I know, dear readers, that you are saying to yourselves how could he become a cross country truck driver at the tender age of 9? Well to answer that for you my beloved students of all things right and true, let me tell you that your Uncle Bud is a very convincing and pursuant individual in the arena of employment as well as wooing the fairer sex of the species (more on that in later posts). It wasn't long and he was on the road sampling tastes and learning cultural rites and rituals that you will have the benefit of finding all in one place. During his tenure driving across the continent, Bud also did odd jobs while picking up many hobbies which include sheet metal working, bingo calling, soap making, and had a short stint as the personal assistant to a Mafia kingpin (names, activities conducted, and dates will not be shared).

We will often refer back to many of Bud's escapades throughout our visits here on the Sofa but I just wanted to give you a brief history of a truly legendary and complex individual that is Uncle Bud.

So without further ado, here is Bud's Pick O' The Week-

The Kingfisher Yellowjacket football team will defeat Clinton. The Reds may have a reputation for being physical but they have lost too much from last year's 4A champion squad. The Senior led Jackets will dominate the lines and introduce the Clinton players to mastery of technique and strength that they can only dream of safe in their beds at night.

Final score- Kingfisher 42- Clinton 13
