After winning the 2016 World Series over the Cleveland Indians/Guardians/whatsever, the Chicago Cubs walked on to the field carrying their championship trophy high while the above song was playing.
The Kingfisher boys basketball should do the same thing.
It does two things:
It celebrates the fact that they are champions
It serves notice to all the wannabe's that it's more than just showing up.
I've had the great pleasure of being around this team for quite some time and let me tell you- while they look sweet, innocent, and happy go lucky type of guys, they are killers.
They want nothing more than to beat you and win the game. They take it personal. They don't like to have the fewest amount of points at the end of the game. All that matters to them - THEM- is that they have more points than you when the final buzzer sounds. After the game, they'll probably buy you a cold drink or sit back and talk with their opponents, but get them between the lines and it's all business.
And here's the most dangerous thing about them, you're not going to get just one pummeling you, you're gonna get 'em all and good luck stopping all of them.
And they know what it takes to get to the top. Opponents may think that they know, but this group of Jackets know what it takes.
Good luck to their opponents this year, they are gonna need it.
