FAITH AND CONFIDENCE

Cooler days are coming, but not today. Today is just gonna be hot, again.

Still... I have a 100% un-shakable faith and confidence that God’s creation is about to deliver some cooler days to Southern Alabama, and that makes me happy.

Speaking of creations….

Have you ever considered how we run around all day trying to manage every detail of “our creation”?

Our home, family, relationships, career, etc and no matter how hard we might try to keep it all together “things” still happen. Something breaks, wears out, falls apart, someone, or something, let’s us down. It’s inevitable.

We think we control so much in this life but in reality, we control so very little.

All the while, “God’s creation” just hums right along, like a well oiled machine.

His entire universe stays in order, the planets remain in perfect orbit, the earth keeps spinning, gravity keeps working, the seasons keep changing and the sun rises every morning.

In “God’s creation”, nothing misses a beat.

In fact, God’s creation runs so flawlessly that a sunrise can be predicted in Mobile, Alabama or Tokyo, Japan to the minute... 10,000 years in advance. While I don’t know what is going to happen in my life in the next 30 seconds. Ponder that and, ponder this...

If God can create, manage and handle all of “that” then it stands to reason that placing our faith and confidence in Him to guide our lives, while on this earth, is a solid decision. (Read that twice)

All God needs, is our permission to go to work in us, to first fix our broken. Then He ultimately works through us, to reach others and fix their broken. That’s how it works.

It took me 46 years and lots of broken “things” to finally give Him the keys to my life, but I finally did. Is my life perfect today? Hardly, but, it is far better in so many ways.

Just like the weather is about to be …. Not perfect, but far better!
